As Hypocrites said, Food is Thy Medicine. What we put in our bodies affects our entire body chemistry and metabolism directly. We can use foods and natural remedies to help recenter our bodies towards health and the way they were originally meant to function fully.  When we encounter illness, often our body has moved away from its normal functioning. We can often help nudge it in the right direction and compliment traditional medicine treatment or prevent needing such tretment by taking care of our nutritional health. Most of us know that a proper diet will lead or maintain good health, but many of us these days aren't sure what the "right" foods are to eat or how to plan to eat well with all of the food choices and information out there. Fully Centered can help you find a nutritional plan and program that will maximize your nutritional benefit from the foods you enjoy and/or help you find foods, supplements and alternative remedies to help return to health when dealing with ailments or illness.

My Backround/Influence & Philosophy on Nutrition & Counseling

My own health issues motivated me to educate myself and seek out optimum nutrition and health habits.  Through nutrition and listening to my body I beat the odds and put a chronic condition into remission long term and have been able to do so completely without any prescription or over-the-counter drugs. I studied biology and biochemistry in college so that I could understand the mechanism of action of supplements and nutrition and how our metabolism works.

I use this knowledge to educate others on how to optimize their nutrition and health, while using their own food preferences as a base, but shifting to better suited habits. I believe that if we are eating truly nutritious food that gives the body what it needs with minimal toxin processing, it will let you know how much to eat.

Rather than calorie restriction etc., I focus on finding foods that each individual enjoys and finding the best quality in such foods or similar foods so that every time they eat, they are eating nutrient dense quality food that fully nourishes and sustains so that the body can process and metabolize at its peak performance level. I utilize nutritional and herbal supplements as needed if the client is interested in also supplementing this way, but this is not mandatory.

Your nutritional plan will be catered to your food preferences, style and habits with any alterations being comfortable and manageable.
